Yes- Please explain your answer (500 characters)
I was a tenant lawyer and represented thousands of New Yorkers. Housing is a right not a privilege. I will continue to fight to protect tenants, low income home owners and homeless New Yorkers. This will be at protests, in legislation and through advocacy. This is something I believe to my core. I will do this even without this job. We should also work to build community land trusts that are owned by the community and allow us to take the profit out of the housing market. This can be done by stopping the third party transfer program and to ensure the city and state subsidies are not just used to support the private markets but used to support non profit mission driven organizations.
